EMS training in Spain comes in two forms: a studio session with a trainer, billed locally per session or in blocks, and a suit you own and train in at home. There is a local footnote most buyers miss. Visionbody's European arm, Visionbody Europe LLC, is registered in Calvia on Mallorca, and it is the company behind the DACH storefront at visionbodyshop.com. Spanish orders still route through visionbody.eu rather than that store, but the European operation sits on Spanish ground. The suits are designed and manufactured in Germany.
Where Spain buys, and what it costs
There are three Visionbody storefronts, not one global store, and your price depends on which one you land on. visionbody.com is the US store in USD, run by VB USA LLC in Miami. visionbody.eu covers the rest of the EU, Spain included, in EUR. visionbodyshop.com covers DACH, meaning Germany, Austria and Switzerland, in EUR.

US prices are a separate market in a separate currency, $1,890 for the single package on visionbody.com, so don't expect the euro figure to track the dollar one. And no store sells the PowerBox separately, so a second person training with you is a duo or double decision at checkout.
Accessories are published in dollars on visionbody.com, the US store: $489 for the Ultimate Suit 5.0 (12 channel) add-on, $39 for the Support Belt. Those are the figures we can source, and they belong to the US storefront rather than the EU one, so check what your euro cart shows before adding either. One caution on the $489: it carries a compare-at price of $489, so the struck-through number beside it is no saving at all.
Studios or your own suit: doing the arithmetic honestly
We won't quote you a Spanish studio rate. We hold no verified rates for studios in Spain, and a made-up number is worse than none. Rates are set locally and move with the city, the chain and whether you buy singles or a block.
Get two real quotes instead, then run one division. Ask each studio for the per-session rate, the package rate and the contract length, then divide the suit price by the per-session rate. That is how many sessions it takes before owning beats renting, and past that point sessions cost nothing but laundry.
Worked example only, on a placeholder rate invented for the arithmetic and quoted from no studio. At €30 a session, €1.790 divided by €30 is roughly 60 sessions, which at two or three a week is your crossover. Swap in your own quote and the answer moves with it.
Part of why a session costs what it does is the kit: studio grade systems from Wiemspro and XBody are priced at $8,500 to $20,000 or more. Owning a suit moves that hardware cost to you once, with no booking and no membership.
What a 20 minute session actually involves
Twenty minutes is the headline session length on Visionbody's product pages, and its FAQ gives 20 to 25 minutes. You train 2 to 3 times a week with at least 48 hours between sessions, and the Personal System is capped at 120 minutes of EMS per week. That cap is deliberate: recovery is where adaptation happens.
Sessions run from the My Visionbody app on iOS and Android, which comes with the system, carries 8 advanced programs and 64 subprograms and works back to iOS 12.4. A warm up in the app is mandatory before stimulation starts. Every muscle group begins at level 0 and you raise each individually, so your chest and your glutes never share a setting. The published intensity guideline is a heart rate of 180 minus your age.
Under the suit you wear a thin seamless layer, nothing padded and nothing with underwire. Movements stay slow and simple: squats, lunges, rows, planks. The current supplies the overload, so what you hold stays light or absent. Kemmler and von Stengel, the two names that dominate the whole body EMS literature, find the effect strongest in beginners and returners, on 20 minute sessions once or twice a week. EMS supplements resistance training rather than replacing it.

Read the last column carefully. A 510(k) clearance means the FDA found a device substantially equivalent to one already legally marketed. Visionbody's K222386, applicant Vb Technologies AG, was decided on that substantially equivalent basis on 24 February 2023. Clearance is not FDA approval and it is not proof that a system produces any particular fitness result. It is also a US step, so it says nothing directly about Spain. Where the table says "No record found in our search", we searched the FDA 510(k) database and found nothing under that name; that does not rule out a clearance filed under a corporate name we missed, so ask the brand for its number.
Two differences sit behind those rows. Katalyst runs on iOS only; the My Visionbody app covers iOS and Android. SQAI is a wet system needing wetting each session; Visionbody's 24 electrodes are dry.
Shipping, batteries and what actually arrives
The box holds the PowerSuit, the PowerBox controller, the LP-E10 battery, a USB-C cable, a laundry net and the manual. There is no published size chart; Visionbody emails you for measurements after you order, so sizing is settled after the sale.
The battery is the part that catches international buyers out. Batteries cannot be shipped to the UK, Arabian countries, Africa, Asia or Russia, and buyers there source one locally. Spain is on none of those lists, so a Spanish order arrives complete. The cell is a user-replaceable Canon LP-E10 compatible unit (7.4V, 900 to 1100 mAh) giving about 6 hours per charge, and Visionbody sells no batteries, so spares come from camera retailers. Charging is USB-C and voltage agnostic worldwide, so travelling needs only a plug adapter.
On delivery, read the published estimate carefully. Processing of 2 to 3 business days plus 3 to 5 working days, with free shipping, is the US estimate and ships from Miami. No international estimate is published, and no list of shipped-to countries, so ask before you order if a date matters. Customs, duties and import VAT are the buyer's responsibility.
Paying for it in Spain
Straight answer: you pay in full at checkout. No installment financing exists in the EU or DACH markets, so any payment plan you saw on a US page is a US arrangement that does not travel, and we won't dangle monthly payments nobody in Spain can offer.

Care, warranty and returns
Wash the suit after every two or three sessions. Salt from sweat builds up and weakens conductivity, so this is performance maintenance. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle at an 800 rpm spin, inside the laundry bag from the box, every Velcro fastening closed, mild bleach-free detergent (a gentle baby detergent works best). Never put the control box in with the suit. Dry flat, away from open flame or high heat.
Do not turn the suit inside out to wash it. That one gets misread constantly: inside out is an air-drying step after a workout, not a washing step. Prohibited outright are hand washing, dry cleaning, drying in sunlight, sports detergents, fabric softener, bleach, tumble drying, ironing and wringing out.
The warranty comes in three tiers, and the textile tier is the short one. The PowerBox carries a 3 year limited warranty. The PowerSuit's functional components, meaning electrodes, wiring and connection plate, get 6 months or a maximum of 100 wash cycles. The textile gets 30 days. Cover runs from the ship date, needs registration and proof of purchase, and claims go in within 10 calendar days of return.
Read that 100 washes figure for what it is: a warranty limit, not a durability rating. Wash every two to three sessions as advised and you reach 100 cycles inside the product's working life, so know where the cover stops rather than assuming the suit does.
Returns run 21 days from delivery, not 30. Contact support inside that window for a Return Authorization number. You pay return shipping unless the fault is Visionbody's, and the refund follows within 14 business days of inspection.
Who should not train with EMS
Whole body EMS carries the standard contraindications, worth reading before you book or buy. Avoid EMS with a pacemaker or any implanted electronic device, during pregnancy, with epilepsy, serious heart conditions, active cancer, a fever, or open wounds and acute injury over the electrode areas. It is 18+ only.
Excessive intensity carries a documented rhabdomyolysis risk, and that single fact explains the shape of the protocol: every muscle group starts at zero, sessions stay at 20 minutes, 48 hours sit between them, weekly EMS time is capped at 120 minutes.
