The machines Italian studios use are a different product category from a home suit. Studio grade systems from Wiemspro and XBody run $8,500 to $20,000+, which is exactly why a per session price exists. You rent time on hardware nobody buys for a spare bedroom.
We hold no verified rates for Italian studios and will not invent one, so treat this as arithmetic you finish yourself rather than a quote. Ask two studios near you for their per session rate. Multiply it by two sessions a week (the standard whole body EMS frequency), then by the number of weeks you plan to keep going, and set that against a one time €1.790 for the Visionbody single package. The number matters less than the shape of the two curves: one is flat and finished, the other climbs for as long as you train.
What you give up is the trainer, and that is a real trade. What you get back is the ability to train at 6am or 11pm without asking anyone.

What a 20 minute session looks like
Twenty minutes is the headline session length on Visionbody's product pages; their FAQ gives a 20 to 25 minute range. Either way you are done inside half an hour including changing.
The suit carries 24 dry electrodes across 12 channels. Dry means no gel and no wetting step, the biggest quality of life gap between this and older studio systems. The PowerBox talks to your phone over Bluetooth, and the My Visionbody App (iOS and Android, back to iOS 12.4) comes with the system, with 8 advanced programs and 64 subprograms.
The protocol is deliberately conservative: two to three sessions a week, at least 48 hours apart, with a mandatory in app warm up. Every muscle group starts at level 0 and is raised individually, so chest and glutes are set separately rather than through one master dial. There is a heart rate guideline of 180 minus your age, and the Personal System is capped at 120 minutes of EMS training per week. Wear a thin seamless layer, nothing padded, no underwire. Movements stay slow and basic because the current supplies the overload.
On the evidence: Kemmler and von Stengel are the main whole body EMS researchers, results are strongest in beginners and returners, and studies typically use 20 minute sessions one to two times a week. EMS supplements training, it does not replace progressive resistance work.

Standard whole body EMS contraindications apply. Avoid EMS with a pacemaker or any implanted electronic device, during pregnancy, with epilepsy, with serious heart conditions, with active cancer, with a fever, or with open wounds and acute injury over the electrode areas. Adults 18 and over only.
Excessive intensity carries a documented rhabdomyolysis risk, which is precisely why the protocol is built the way it is: every muscle group starts at zero, sessions stay at twenty minutes, warm up is mandatory, weekly EMS time is capped, and 48 hours sit between sessions. Delivery, batteries, returns and warranty in Italy
Visionbody publishes a delivery estimate for the United States only, so we cannot give you an honest number of days for an Italian address. Ask visionbody.eu before ordering if timing matters. Customs, duties and import VAT are the buyer's responsibility.
The battery point matters more than it sounds. Visionbody cannot ship batteries to the UK, Arabian countries, Africa, Asia or Russia, which forces buyers there to source the cell locally. Italy is not on that restriction list, so the LP-E10 arrives in the box alongside the PowerSuit, PowerBox, USB-C cable, laundry net and manual. It runs about 6 hours per charge, is voltage agnostic worldwide, and is user replaceable and Canon LP-E10 compatible (7.4V, 900 to 1100 mAh). Visionbody sells no batteries themselves. There is no published size chart either; they email you for measurements after you order.
Returns run 21 days from delivery, not 30. Contact support inside the window for a Return Authorization number. You pay return shipping unless the fault is theirs, and a refund follows within 14 business days of inspection. Warranty comes in three tiers:
- PowerBox: 3 year limited warranty.
- PowerSuit functional components (electrodes, wiring, connection plate): 6 months, maximum 100 wash cycles.

The recurring cost column is where the long term difference sits. You buy the Visionbody hardware once, the app comes with the system, and nothing recurs after purchase. A rival carrying a mandatory monthly fee keeps billing for as long as you keep training.
Washing it right, because conductivity depends on it
Salt builds up in the fabric and weakens conductivity, so wash the suit every two to three sessions. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle at an 800 rpm spin, inside the provided laundry bag, with all Velcro fastened, using a mild bleach free detergent (a gentle baby detergent works best). Never wash the control box with the suit, and always dry flat, away from open flame or high heat.
Do not turn the suit inside out to wash it: inside out is a post workout air drying step only, and the two get confused constantly. Also prohibited are hand washing, dry cleaning, drying in direct sunlight, sports detergents, fabric softener, bleach, tumble drying, ironing and wringing out.
