Do the arithmetic yourself: ask your nearest studio for its per-session and package rates, multiply by two sessions a week and then by fifty weeks, and hold that annual figure next to a one-time €1.790.
Owning the suit trades the trainer for control: no booking, no ride across town in the rain. The coaching is built into the app instead.
What a session actually involves
Twenty minutes is the headline figure on Visionbody's product pages, and their FAQ gives 20 to 25 minutes. Train 2 to 3 times a week with at least 48 hours between sessions. The Personal System is capped at 120 minutes of EMS training per week, which is the recovery envelope the whole method depends on.
The suit carries 24 dry electrodes across 12 channels. Dry means no gel and no wetting step, which is the difference between a system you use on a Tuesday morning and one you keep putting off. A wireless PowerBox drives it over Bluetooth on an LP-E10 battery, about 6 hours per charge, recharged over USB-C. The My Visionbody App comes with the system on iOS and Android, with 8 advanced programs and 64 subprograms.
Movement stays slow and simple: squats, lunges, rows, planks. The current supplies the overload, not heavy weight. Wear a thin seamless layer, nothing padded or underwired, and follow the heart rate guideline of 180 minus your age. The in-app warm up is mandatory, and every muscle group starts at level 0.
What Visionbody costs in euros

Two accessories are published, and only on the US storefront in dollars: on visionbody.com the Ultimate Suit 5.0 12 channel add-on is $489 and the Support Belt is $39. We hold no euro figures for either, so treat those as US-market numbers rather than what a Dutch cart will show. The $489 also carries a compare-at price of $489, so that struck-through number is no saving. The PowerBox is not sold separately anywhere, and Visionbody sells no batteries.

Katalyst's monthly fee is mandatory and runs for as long as you keep training, so its sticker price is where the spend starts, not where it stops. Visionbody's own comparison table lists paid membership and hidden fees as not applicable, and nothing recurs after you buy.
TitanBody launched in September 2025 from Boca Raton and publishes free international shipping, though it names no country list we can verify, so ask them directly whether they deliver to a Dutch address. It also has only about 15 Trustpilot reviews and no long-term owner feedback yet. SQAI is a wet system, so you wet the contact points first. ANTELOPE sells for around 999 euros on sale.
Delivery, batteries and duties for a Dutch address
Visionbody publishes a delivery estimate for the United States only: 2 to 3 business days processing, then 3 to 5 working days from Miami. No international estimate and no list of shipped-to countries is published, so ask support for a timeline on a Dutch order. Customs, duties and import VAT are the buyer's responsibility. The system is designed and made in Germany.
One restriction matters: batteries cannot ship to the UK, Arabian countries, Africa, Asia or Russia. The Netherlands is not on that list. Buyers in restricted regions source one locally, which is easy: the battery is user-replaceable and Canon LP-E10 compatible at 7.4V, 900 to 1100 mAh. USB-C charging is voltage agnostic worldwide, so travelling with it needs only a plug adapter.

Returns, warranty and how to wash it
The return window is 21 days from delivery, not 30. Contact support inside it for a Return Authorization number; refunds land within 14 business days of inspection, and the buyer pays return shipping unless the fault is Visionbody's. Their financing page says 30 days, but the return policy page governs. Work to 21.
The warranty runs in three tiers:
- PowerBox: 3 year limited warranty.
- PowerSuit functional components (electrodes, wiring, connection plate): 6 months, maximum 100 wash cycles.
- PowerSuit textile: 30 days.
Cover runs from ship date, needs registration and proof of purchase, and claims must be made within 10 calendar days of return. The "100 washes or 6 months" figure is a warranty limit, not a durability rating. Visionbody advises washing after every 2 to 3 sessions because salt buildup weakens conductivity, so anyone following that advice passes 100 cycles well inside the suit's working life.
One instruction gets misreported constantly: do not turn the suit inside out to wash it. Inside-out is a post-workout air-drying step only. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, 800 rpm spin, in the provided laundry bag with all Velcro fastened and a mild bleach-free detergent. Never wash the control box with the suit, and dry flat away from open flame or high heat. Prohibited outright: hand washing, dry cleaning, sunlight drying, sports detergents, fabric softener, bleach, tumble drying, ironing and wringing out.
Clearance, safety and what the research supports
Visionbody is FDA cleared under 510(k) number K222386, applicant Vb Technologies AG, decided 2023-02-24 as substantially equivalent. The caveat travels with the number: 510(k) clearance means the device was found substantially equivalent to one already legally marketed. It is not approval, and it is not proof of any particular fitness result. It is still a real record you can check. Katalyst also holds clearances, K171035 and K181199. We searched the FDA database for TitanBody and SQAI under their own and known parent names and found no 510(k) record, so ask either for its number.
Whole body EMS carries standard contraindications. Avoid it with a pacemaker or any implanted electronic device, in pregnancy, or with epilepsy, a serious heart condition, active cancer, fever, or open wounds and acute injury over the electrode areas. Excessive intensity carries a documented rhabdomyolysis risk, which is exactly why every muscle group starts at level 0, the warm up is mandatory, sessions hold at 20 minutes and 48 hours sit between them. This is general information rather than medical advice, so clear it with your doctor if any of it applies.
Kemmler and von Stengel are the main whole body EMS researchers, and the evidence is strongest in beginners and returners. Studies typically run 20 minute sessions once or twice a week.
